New Embedded Player Customization

We’ve added new customization options to our embedded player, giving you more control over how your show looks and feels across the web.

You can now choose to show or hide skip buttons, volume control, the share section, and the “About” area with your podcast description. Plus, users on paid plans can remove RSS.com branding for an even cleaner look.

These settings are available at both the podcast and episode level, right from your Dashboard or public show page. Try it out and make the player truly your own!

Faster Transcripts, Now in VTT Too

Included in all our paid plans at no extra cost, our AI-generated transcripts are now up to 10X faster, and we have added support for the WebVTT (VTT) format, alongside SRT and TXT. Whether you are using transcripts for captions, accessibility, SEO, or all of the above, you now benefit from more flexibility and faster delivery.

New Feature

Introducing Power-Ups

Say hello to Power-Ups: a new way to activate extra podcasting features directly from the Settings Tab in your Dashboard. These optional enhancements include some Podcasting 2.0 features and other powerful capabilities that cater to more advanced or forward-looking use cases. For example, you can now publish an episode in the past, perfect for podcasters who want to batch upload episodes and assign earlier release dates. Power-Ups let us bring new functionality to power users without adding complexity for beginners.

Improvement

Longer videos YouTube Uploads Upgraded

Our Podviz technology transforms your audio episodes into engaging videos with dynamic elements like episode art and chapter visuals, then auto-publishes them to your YouTube podcast channel. We have now increased the maximum video length to up to 3 hours, making it perfect for long-form content such as interviews, discussions, or multi-guest episodes. Just upload your audio as usual and we'll handle the rest.

👀 In case you missed

RSS.com is now officially IAB Certified, giving you trustworthy, industry-standard analytics to help grow and monetize your podcast. And with our improved Distribution page and automatic Apple Podcasts submission, it's easier than ever to get your show listed in top directories like Pocket Casts, Fountain, or TrueFans.

Improvement

One RSS feed, endless possibilities

RSS feeds remain the most powerful distribution method in podcasting, enabling your voice to reach listeners across countless apps and platforms. All from a single feed! Following the release of automatic Apple Podcasts submission last month, we have improved the Distribution page to showcase even more listening apps and directories featuring your podcast, including Pocket Casts, Boomplay, Castamatic, Fountain, Podcast Addict, Overcast, Podverse, TrueFans, and more, making it easier to see exactly where listeners can discover and enjoy your show.

Improvement

Bluesky sharing

Remember when the bird was blue, before it became an X? Bluesky started as an internal project at Twitter to build a decentralized social media platform, and later became an independent company. As Bluesky continues to gain traction, especially within the podcasting community, we have made it easy for you to share your podcast and episodes directly to Bluesky from both your Dashboard and your podcast website, extending your social reach even further. Also, you can follow us on Bluesky.

👀 In case you missed it

Earlier this year, we introduced the ability to track your global Apple Podcasts Reviews directly in your Dashboard, helping you stay connected with listeners and collect valuable feedback. Also, our Podcast Analytics recently obtained the official IAB Certification, providing you with reliable, industry-standard data to confidently grow your show and attract advertisers.

New Feature

RSS.com is now IAB Certified

Since launching new Podcast Analytics in September 2024, RSS.com has been helping podcasters gain accurate and actionable insights by developing new tools that drive growth, engagement, and long-term success.

Today we leveled up again: RSS.com Podcast Analytics were independently audited and are now officially compliant with the IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines v2.2.

Why is this important? IAB certification gives podcasters like you the confidence that your audience and engagement metrics meet the highest industry standards, helping you grow your show, measure its success, and unlock even more opportunities for monetization and sponsorship through industry-backed credibility.

It's official: your numbers have never looked better! 📈

Automatic Apple Podcasts Submission

For years, we have made it easy to submit your podcast to Amazon Music and Spotify directly from your RSS.com Dashboard in one simple step. Today, we are taking it a step further: you can now also submit your show to Apple Podcasts just as smoothly.

No Apple ID needed. Just one click, and your podcast is live on one of the most popular podcast directories in the world.

Your show will be published under our custodial Apple Podcasts account, and if at any point you want to access audience insights directly from Apple Podcasts Connect, you can claim ownership by following a few simple steps.

This update makes publishing your podcast across all major platforms easier than ever with RSS.com, covering the vast majority of the podcast listening market.

If your show is already live on Apple Podcasts, there is nothing you need to do. But if it is not, go to the Distribution tab in your RSS.com Dashboard and submit it now to reach a wider audience.

A New Home for Podcast Reviews

Over the years, almost three thousand of our users have reviewed RSS.com, with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars. From platforms like Reviews.io, Trustpilot, Reddit, and G2, their voices have helped shape our reputation.

We have now brought together a curated selection of these reviews on a dedicated page to highlight what our users are saying about us. Because their experience speaks louder than any marketing.

Improvement

Episode Comparison Visualization

You can now compare two episodes with different release dates more effectively. The starting point for comparison is now relative to both episodes, making it easier to analyze performance trends.

Enhanced Analytics Export

We have added the ability to export the full list of countries where your podcast is being listened to. This update allows for more granular insights and better audience segmentation.

New Feature

UI Refresh – A Sleek, Modern Update

A new flat UI design has been rolled out across the Monetization, Distribution, and Settings sections of our Dashboard. This update marks the completion of our year-long transition to a more modern, accessible, and streamlined user experience.

Happy New Year! (Yes, we know it's almost the end of January, but it still counts, right?)

Life is all about balancing big dreams and small wins. At RSS.com, while our team is cooking up some big projects (stay tuned, exciting news is coming!), we are also constantly refining and upgrading the little things. The first month of 2025 brings a bunch of subtle yet meaningful updates to make your experience better. Here's what we have been up to:

  • Web Player with iOS Dynamic Island Support: Our web player now works beautifully with Apple's Dynamic Island on iPhones and iPads. What's Dynamic Island? Think of it as a fancy little butler at the top of your screen, ready to serve updates and controls. Now, your podcasts get the VIP treatment: you'll see cover art at a glance while playing in the background and even interact with the episode directly. A small but delightful upgrade iOS users will love!
  • Podroll Upgrade: We made Podroll synchronization smoother. Not sure what a Podroll is? You're missing out! Go check it out and give your podcast some extra shine.
  • Dashboard Fixes: No more runaway soundbite titles or overlapping chart labels on mobile. We tidied up those pesky glitches so everything looks crisp and clean.
  • Country Display Standardization: Bye-bye to cryptic country codes like CH and AT in our analytics. From now on, you'll see the full names: Switzerland and Austria. Because who has time to learn ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes anyway?
  • Audio Analysis Improvements: Each time you upload a new audio file, we now perform better integrity checks and metadata extraction. Your audio is in safe hands, and the process is even more robust.
  • Smarter Slug Suggestions: Slug autosuggestions when creating a new podcast are now smarter. Even if your show title is RSS.com 팟캐스트 オーディオ 公司 สุดยอด!, our slug generator will handle it without breaking a sweat. Go wild with your titles!
  • For all the millennials nostalgic about Clippy: the alien in the bottom-right corner of our Dashboard is now clickable and opens the support widget. Don't know what Clippy is? Lucky you, you must be young. Go ahead, look it up on TikTok or whatever you use for searches these days!

Here's to a fantastic 2025, with plenty of updates (and surprises) on the way! 🚀

v24.12.1

New Feature

v24.11.1.jpg

Preview and Share Scheduled Episodes

Promoting your podcast episodes just got easier! You can now access and copy the public URL of an episode even while it’s still in the Scheduled status.

This feature is perfect for podcasters who release episodes at regular intervals and schedule them in advance, often alongside automated social media posts using tools like Hootsuite.

With the new Share Preview option for scheduled episodes, you can generate a URL that links directly to the episode’s page before it goes live. This makes it easy to schedule social media promotions, coordinate campaigns, or share the link internally: all well in advance of publication!

v24.11.1

Improvement

v24.11.1.jpg

We continue refining the user interface of our dashboard with updates. Recent improvements include easier controls for creating Chapters and Soundbites, along with updates to how analytics data can be exported for use in spreadsheets like Excel or Google Docs.

Improvement

Behind the scenes, our backend services and APIs quietly power the performance and reliability of our platform. Though invisible to most podcasters, this work is essential. Recently, our engineering team made significant upgrades, including enhancing our transcoding service to better handle corrupted MP3 files. These improvements ensure that our Dashboard continues to evolve becoming even more performant and easy to use.

Service Update

Chartable will be sunsetting on December 12. To ensure uninterrupted service for our users, we have proactively removed all instances of the Chartable prefix from our podcasts to ensure continuity of service. Podcasters who have not yet addressed this can rest assured that no additional action is needed on their part.

Improvement

We have been hard at work delivering new features and improvements to our Dashboard over the past few months. While we focused on building and shipping value for our users, our main website, RSS.com, did not immediately reflect these advancements. We have recently revamped the site, reorganizing the navigation bar and adding over a dozen new pages to reflect our service offering. These updates highlight features like our enhanced analytics tools, Podcasting 2.0 support and automatic audio-to-video conversion.
